If you aren't already a member of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, you won't have received an email today with a list of the up-coming workshop sessions we'll be running.

So, for your benefit, here they are below (click each title to be taken to the sign-up page):

Focus On... Facebook

When: Tue 05 Feb 2013 at 09:30:00

Where: Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, 30 George Square, GLASGOW, G2 1EQ

Facebook  - it's the King of Social Networks with over 1 billion users worldwide. But how, exactly, is Facebook changing how people interact with brands and businesses and what space is there for your business to fit in?

This 3 hour focus workshop cuts through the hype and hyperbole surrounding Facebook as a social networking tool and encourages you to zero in on finding a sustainable way of using it as part of your overall marketing and communication strategy.

Focus On... Twitter

When: Fri 15 Feb 2013 at 09:30:00

Where: Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, 30 George Square, GLASGOW, G2 1EQ

Twitter - quite probably the second biggest social network on the internet, yet for many businesses it's the one they just don't understand.

Our Focus workshop deals with the fact that there are 10 million+ Twitter users in the UK, 80% of whom use the social network on a mobile device.

What's your strategy for talking to these people and listening to their questions? What tools are available for you to generate leads from Twitter? Our Focus workshop will provide you with the time and space to build a powerful Twitter strategy into your marketing and communication toolkit.

Focus on...Blogging

When: Thu 21 Feb 2013 at 09:30:00

Where: Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, 30 George Square, GLASGOW, G2 1EQ

Research seems to prove that when a business delves into the world of blogging good things can happen. For example, a report published by Hubspot claims:

  • The average company that blogs generates 55% more website visitors, 97% more inbound links, and 434% more indexed pages.
  • 57% of businesses have acquired a customer through their company blog

If these stats are true, should we consider starting a blog for our company?

Focus On...YouTube

When: Wed 27 Feb 2013 at 09:30:00

Where: Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, 30 George Square, GLASGOW, G2 1EQ

The number one driver of traffic to many business websites is YouTube. Why? Because of how well YouTube videos rank on Google. And that's because Google owns YouTube.

This 3 hour workshop will examine exactly what YouTube is, why it's so good at pushing people to our business's website, and how we can use it as a learning and marketing tool.

We'll examine some of the "behind-the-scenes" features of YouTube and discuss what makes a "good" YouTube video. Plus we'll spend time examining and discussing how YouTube can fit into our wider marketing and communication strategy.
