Social Media Training Sessions - April/May 2013

Here's a quick update on our forthcoming social media training sessions:

April 2013

Where: Business Gateway Hillington, Hillington Park Innovation Centre, 1 Ainslie Road, Hillington

This workshop will show you how to use social media:

  • as a customer service platform
  • to increase awareness of your brand
  • for product/service research
  • to improve your search engine optimisation
  • to measure the results of your marketing

By the end of the workshop you will have a good understanding of the advantages and dangers of social media. You will also have a social media action plan designed to improve your sales.

Focus on LinkedIn - SOLD OUT

Where:  Glasgow Chamber of Commerce 30 George Square Glasgow G2 1EQ
By attending this three hour workshop you will:

  • learn the importance of your LinkedIn profile and the sort of details you'll ne
  • ed to maximise your exposure
  • learn some simple tips to maximise LinkedIn's SEO potential
  • learn how to interact using LinkedIn's Groups
  • learn how to set up a Company Page, adding credibility to your company's online presence
  • learn tips and strategies for connecting with people using LinkedIn Groups

The workshop will be hands-on and delegates will have the opportunity to create a LinkedIn account, properly fill out the "bio" section and develop a strategy for networking with potential customers and colleagues using LinkedIn.

The workshop is also aimed at existing LinkedIn users who want to go from a '6 to a 10' in terms of engagement, interaction and lead generation.   Delegates attending will be required to bring along their own laptop or tablet.

Research seems to prove that when a business delves into the world of blogging good things can happen. For example, a report published by Hubspot claims:

The average company that blogs generates 55% more website visitors, 97% more inbound links, and 434% more indexed pages.

57% of businesses have acquired a customer through their company blog

If these stats are true, should we consider starting a blog for our company?

This 3 hour focus workshop cuts through the hype and hyperbole surrounding Facebook as a social networking tool and encourages you to zero in on finding a sustainable way of using it as part of your overall marketing and communication strategy.
