How Do I Get My Podcast Listed on Apple Podcasts

You’ve recorded your first podcast episode. You’ve chosen a podcast hosting platform and uploaded your audio file, written the episode title and description, and you’ve made the album art. You’re ready for the world to listen in and start building a loyal fanbase.

But why isn’t your podcast showing up on Apple Podcasts?

It is, after all, a hugely popular directory and app for podcast listeners. Therefore, it’s vital that your show is listed there.

The reality is, it’s up to you to get your podcast listed on Apple Podcasts. It doesn’t happen automatically.

When you work with the Podcast Studio Glasgow and have a pre-production package with us, not only do we take care of the podcast hosting platform, but we also make sure your podcast is listed on every single podcast directory and app.

However, because we’re nice, friendly and helpful guys, here are the steps you need to take to get your podcast listed on Apple Podcasts:

  1. Create an Apple ID: If you don't already have one, create an Apple ID. You will need it to access iTunes Connect.

  2. Log in to iTunes Connect: Go to podcastsconnect.apple.com and log in with your Apple ID.

  3. Validate your podcast feed: Make sure your podcast feed is valid and follows Apple's guidelines. You can use a feed validator tool to check it.

  4. Enter your podcast information: Click on the "+" button to add a new podcast and enter the information for your show, including the title, description, and cover art.

  5. Submit your feed URL: Enter the URL of your podcast feed and click on "Validate." iTunes Connect will check the feed and notify you of any issues.

  6. Fix any errors: If iTunes Connect finds any errors, fix them and resubmit your feed until it's approved.

  7. Wait for approval: After your feed is approved, it may take up to 24-48 hours for your podcast to appear in Apple Podcasts.

As mentioned above, we take all of the hassles out of getting your podcast listed and approved across all of the directories, not just Apple Podcasts. We also help our clients choose the best hosting platform for their podcasts.

So, use the button below to book a 30-minute consultation. You can visit us in the studio, get a tour, have a coffee and chat about what your plans, goals and aspirations are. And we’ll support you 100% of the way.
